Bessell, S. and O’Sullivan, C. (2024). More for Children: Rights-based methodology for research with children about poverty. Canberra: The Children’s Policy Centre, The Australian National University.
More for Children is a program of transformative research that is building our understanding of children’s experiences of poverty to bring change and, ultimately, contribute to ending child poverty in Australia. This report focuses specifically on sharing the methodology used in the More for Children research and the methods adopted for the research that took place in Australia. The report includes five pages (pp.20-24) highlighting the ethical dilemmas anticipated for this particular research and a list of actions to be adopted to reduce the risk. This report may be of interest to others in the ERIC community both for the rights-based methodology and the opportunity to see the ethical thinking of others.
