Participatory research

Research carried out with and by participants themselves and involves the use of quantitative and/or qualitative methods, adapted to suit their skills and aptitudes, so as to investigate their own social worlds. Qualitative participatory research with children often uses visual or creative methods such as photography, video, drawing, clay modelling, collage etc., to help facilitate children’s sharing of their experiences and perspectives.
